For someone who has promised not to see this musical (read the reasons on my previous posts http://jaynir.wordpress.com/2007/04/30/priscilla-the-musical/ and http://jaynir.wordpress.com/2006/10/13/the-misadventures-of-a-filipina-as-a-mail-order-bride-spitting-pingpong-balls-vs-the-adventures-of-priscilla-queen-of-the-desert/,) I am doing very well.
I went to Sydney to watch this musical last April and I was surprised that N bought us a ticket to watch this again, this time in Melbourne.
He knows that I would still love to see this musical even the third time!
The Filipina maid to order bride’s role seems to have grown a lot – now presented in a very funny and light mood (to dispel the racial undertones it delivered in the movie version). The Melbourne crowd last Saturday night was a bit ecstatic and there were around twenty drag queens in their full wigs and regalia - well, it was the opening night!
I could just pinch myself for not dressing up in drag! Could have been the object of paparazzis! Well, next time!
If you did ate, the paparazzis will not stop hunting you down because you sure do look fabulous!

WOW! That looked really terrific! The music, the colorful costumes…it must be one helluva show to watch on stage!
There’s a slew of Broadway plays coming to town this season, all of which I get to see for free, and though they all look wonderful, I doubt any of them can compare to your Priscilla…
