One important thing I have to do whenever I do drag, is to wear my contact lenses!  Without it I am as blind as the bats. and once without it I was like just seeing figures and shadows – like in a dreamland!

My favorite color is light brown bleu!  A friend bought me a stack of colored ones from Manila (as they are so damned cheap over there- like only $10 a pair compared to around $200+ here - and I could reuse them over and over!)  So I got green, blue and violet gray!

I have very sensitive, dry, itchy and crying eyes – whenever I wear contacts.  So I have to make sure I don’t have it on for more than 5 hours – or else I would look like a vampire!

One time, my left contact lenses just went dislocated over the top of my eyeballs – and I thought that I dropped/lost it!  So I went to sleep with a super itchy eyes and not knowing that the damn contact lense was sitting at top of my eyeball!

I am very careful in using contact lenses as they can cause a lot of trouble if not properly used.

BEAUTY HYGIENE AND  OTHER STUFF

(Cassandra – notice the eruptions on her lower face)

Cassandra Cash of Thailand (the winner of this year’s Miss Lotus) called me the other day and asked me one big favor!  She was in big big trouble.   She said she could not do one of her weekly shows  this week since her face is suffering from volcanic eruptions of great proportions.  And she is in great pain at the moment.  OMG!

I noticed these huge acnes last time and the drag makeup and stuff had aggravated them.   Her doctor suggested that she stops using makeup for awhile – and that means no drag shows until the pus(ses) are out of her face.

As a fellow drag queen, I suggested to her to do a big clean up of her stuff.  I noticed that most of the drag queens are not very particular about hygiene, clealiness and orderliness of their stuff – especially their makeup and brushes.

The following are important things that one should observe and practice for a healthy and flawless drag queen face:

-  Select the make up that is appropriate for you and something that is safe and non-allergenic.   Some of the makeup contains unhealthy stuff (toxic) for the skin – like aluminum and triethanolamine. (see this page – for more info http://www.viviforyou.com/organic/danger.html )  As much as possible do away with too much glitters in the eyes and other metallic stuff.  Some drag queens use very strong foundations that really stopped their skin from breathing – and they look like new creations of Madam Tussauds!

-  Make sure you exercise extreme cleanliness in using your makeup.  As much as possible do not share this with other people.   Store in cool place.  Makeup kit should be clean.   I saw one drag queen using plumbing toolkit as her makeup kit!  Can you imagine?

-  Clean and wash your makeup brushes after use and dry them properly to avoid fungus and other bacteria living in there.  Can you imagine putting on your makeup plus the happy and active bacteria from your brushes – your face would indeed be a real drag racing course for these minute larvae eating up your flesh.

So in order to ensure a healty drag life and flawless skin forever - follow the three C’s of drag.  Cleanliness, cleanliness and cleanliness!  Is next to Godliness!

I hope that Cash is feeling better soon!

Aside from looking beautiful as always Jase. I do agree about your pointers even though I am not a drag queen. Hygiene is really important to keep your well being intact!

I never put on make up because I look like a horrible drag.

But true, hygiene is best for us gays – from the face up down to those toesies.

Aside from good diet and exercise, cleanliness is best.

@ KYELS

Yeah, those ones really need proper medical care – and some antibiotics to reduce swelling and further damage to the skin.

@ CHRIS

Sa true lang – we all need some form of hygiene habits and practices.

@ TINTIN

Thalaga! It happened to me twice already! The second time, I knew it went up and I have to move it down by pressing my thumbs on my eyeball. Katakot!
