A very close sister/friend of mine emailed me today and in relation to a blog that she cited went on describing me as follows:
Citizenship : Australian
Nationality : Filipino
Race : Malay/Asian
Ethnicity : Ilocano but you were raised as a
Visayan in the island of Mindanao
Sexual Identity: Filipino by Day and Filipina by Night.”
Wow, no wonder I am one confused and lost soul And sometimes, I really don’t know who I am … anymore (emote – drama!) …. Do you ???
I know there are more people out there who would have double (more of) this multiplicity (identity). In this time and age, people don’t stay in one place anymore, and they don’t stay the same. We obtain and create layers and layers of identity, to the point that we don’t really know who we really are anymore.
Who am I ? Really … ???
I have to scream – - > Eeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiee, to get into the core of my being!
I am all of the above – and like everybody else, the sum total of all my parts and historicities – a unique individual! Don’t have to explain myself, really … although Plato said “Know Thyself” daw!
How about you? Have you asked yourself this question lately?
I am a bit disappointed with the result of the Make Me a SuperModel – Australia which ended last night!
I was rooting for Shanina Shaik ever since. And everyone knows that Shanina Shaik should win as she has all the makings of a supermodel but the phone votes made Rhys Uhlich the winner! And Rhys himself thought it should be Shanina.
Internet and phone voting system that determines the winner of a contest does not really deliver the best results – as this could be swayed by different factors. My heart goes to Shanina who is really determined to go to New York for the modelling contract. She made this her ultimate goal during the contest and it showed in her consistent performance.
The good thing is : the road does not end in this contest for the contestants. Shanina for sure would make it as a supermodel if she works further for it !
My guess is that most of the phone voters were girls (or gays?) and they want to see more of the following photos of Rhys which are not “disappointing” at all !!!
In gay beauty pageants, stockings and hosiery play a very important role!
For some who had been blessed with heaps of feminine genes and had not been in the past, been doing any of the following:
playing soccer or football during their teens,
walking up and down hills or mountains to go to school,
were former boxing players
nor working in the constructions as their dayjobs
…. then these boys are lucky enough to get away from buying and wearing expensive stockings (mind you there are hundreds to choose from!).
But for most of us, who cannot hide our God-given Mohammad Ali legs and torsos, then these heavenly silky stockings would be a good idea!
For Stockard Channing gurls then the following are basic suggestions:
Choose the color that closely matches your skin tones, or else you’d look like Alice in Wonderland with those darn white leggings clear as the skies the photos.
If you are going to wear bikinis (like the one above), choose ”sheer to waist” (without the cut on the upper legs), or else your legs would look like fat muttons ready to be served during thanksgiving day!
Best to use “ultra sheer types” – and maybe darker shades of tan or black if you have tons of muscles and fats to hide. I’d really prefer the darker tones.
Some girls use three sets of stockings to effetively shapen, feminized and lengthen their legs and hide lumps and bumps. So definitiely use five
Prep your legs, shave and maybe use leg make up or foundation before putting on the stockings
If you have thunder thighs (like moi) or the one on the right above, then it is always a good idea to use stockings first, then black fishnets, and then a light and sheer stocking over the top again. Use the magic of light and illussion. Dark makes you look thinner and lighter or white makes you look bigger and fatter.
If you are a boy who wanted to look like a girl, even if you have the best boy legs in town, it is still best to use stockings – full stop
You have to learn how to take care of your stockings, as they easily run, and they are bloody expensive!
Karla faced her biggest challenge so far when asked by TV Patrol after winning the crown with hometown advantage. With queenly grace she answered “I gave my best tonight and I think/believe I deserve the title”
CONGRATULATIONS to Karla Paula Henry of the Philippines for winning the Miss Earth crown for Asia. Finally, Asia is represented!!!!
It was Miss Philippines’ night even before the announcement of the top 4 when she nailed the swimsuit and parading in a beautiful gown which is entirely different from her prelim gown. Her answer in the final question sealed her to the Miss Earth title. I personally was rooting for Miss Tanzania but she over-extended her answer to the question and lost her composure. Indeed, Karla gave the best answer that night. A well deserved win for the Philippines! OMG it’s like a Denise Quinones flashback when she won the Miss Universe crown at her native Puerto Rico.
